Surveillance
/ Case Three
This involves another large, national
Plc, a well known household name (again not named
for confidentiality). The senior managers
were certain that they were losing large quantities
of electrical goods, but had no proof.
In view of the lack of useful information to prove
these allegations, it was decided to place one of
our members of staff inside the unit, working with
the shifts involved. Prior to this the normal
interview procedure was followed.
Once in the unit, information was gathered and the
most likely subjects were befriended and in addition
to this, covert surveillance was mounted on the
unit and the suspects during the time they were
at work.
As a result of the enquiries carried out, a large
amount of electrical goods were recovered from a
farm some miles away. The offenders were charged
and appeared before the local courts, where they
pleaded guilty. At no time did the offenders
know who had worked with them from AMIS Ltd.
